I am an artist in Athens, Georgia, and I love to glorify God in my artwork. I received my AAS in Illustration at Fashion Institute of Technology, and have been producing art my whole life. I taught art classes to all ages for over twenty years and have published several art instruction e-books. I love to work in many different mediums including acrylic paint, watercolors, colored pencils, graphite, and ink. I also experiment in decorative art mediums such as paper marbling, paste paper, Suminagashi marbling, and paint pouring techniques on both canvas and stones.
PROPHETIC PAINTING
I began painting during worship services in 2020 and it has completely changed my focus at this point in my art career. These paintings declare a message for my church from the heart of God. Each has a scripture verse that correlates with it. Before creating each painting, I ask the Lord what He would have me create, and I wait for inspiration. I often see the image entirely before painting, or I receive an impression for a concept. I pray and worship as I paint, often changing direction just before starting or even during the painting. Many people connect personally with the artwork, and it can mean different things to each person. I am happy to hear the different message that people draw from the designs.
